The Leys Health Centre serves a population of 10,500 patients.  It is a friendly and very busy medical practice in Greater Leys.  We are look for new hard working staff members who are will become key members of the patient support team.

Patient Services Officer, 22 hours per week (£8.47 per hour)

To work as part of the practice team to provide excellent and appropriate care to patients through directing patients to the appropriate clinician or service and managing incoming patient information and requests.  You will be providing face to face support to patients and also administration of their medical records and administrative support to the clinical team.

Excellent interpersonal skills and team working skills, along with IT skills are essential.  Previous experience of working in a health environment would be an advantage but not essential.  Excellent verbal and written communication are essential.

The ability to work under pressure and to be able to adapt to a changing environment are essential along with a sense of humour and patience.

Training will be provided.

Workflow Administrator up to 37 hours/week, £9.09 per hour

The aim of the post is to manage clinical correspondence according to detailed protocols, thus saving GP time and improving patient care. 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and thorough attention to detail are key attributes. IT skills, discretion, common-sense, ability to work under alone and under pressure in a busy environment and a sense of humour are all essential. 

Experience in a medical environment / familiarity with medical terminology an advantage, but is not essential as training can be provided.

This is a great opportunity for candidates who are considering a career in the medical field to gain experience of medical terminology and an insight into disease management in primary and secondary healthcare.
